Who are we?

Established in 1975, Langland Bay Lifeguard Club was formed by a group of locals who believed that there should be some form of voluntary lifeguard cover for the bathers at Langland Bay.  30 years on, Langland Bay Lifeguard Club has trained many youngsters and over 200 of these have gained professional lifeguard qualifications and have had the opportunity to gain jobs with the City Council.  The club also teaches water safety to youngsters from the age of 7 years old.

The mission statement of the club is to encourage and support youngsters to achieve their own self worth through a variety of water based lifesaving, lifeguarding and resuscitation programmes and to hone those skills by regular competition.

The Club now boasts over 200 members, and people of all ages are welcome, whether you would like to learn lifesaving & gain lifeguard qualifications or whether you would like to improve your fitness levels, Langland Bay Lifeguard Club has plenty to offer.  With great social functions and a friendly atmosphere, why not give it a try?
